Web Manuals upgrades document management system featuring IATA Operational Safety Audit Manuals

Strengthening global aviation standards

Web Manuals’ collaboration with IATA (International Air Transport Association) is making IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) Manuals available across its management document platform. The upgrade utilizes IOSA XML data directly from IATA, providing client users with access to the global standard of airline compliance documentation.

Martin Lidgard, CEO, Web Manuals, says: “For our client base of airlines and wet-lease operators who conduct IOSA audits, introducing these manuals which are comparable across the globe, greatly simplifies compliance. The XML data source enables customers to benefit from the quick availability of new revisions and the exceptionally high quality and structure of content in the IOSA standard.

“As aviation companies across the world return to pre-pandemic flight schedules, our online aviation document management system optimizes revision control by compiling all manuals onto one easily accessible platform. This allows our clients to improve operational efficiency and focus their attention on company growth.”

Mark Searle, IATA’s Global Director Safety says: “Since its inception 20 years ago, IOSA has developed into the global industry standard for airline operational safety auditing. Making the IOSA XML digital content portfolio available via Web Manuals will ensure that compliance and safety remains at the highest level possible across our industry, as those airlines and regulators using the platform will always have access to the most up to date information.”

Web Manuals offers the IOSA standard in three packages:

  • Flight operations
  • Cabin/cargo
  • Maintenance and ground support

This allows airlines to choose the relevant sections for its operation and to fit with its current Web Manuals documentation.

The IOSA Program is an internationally accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of airlines. The audit creates a standard comparable on a worldwide basis and is re-evaluated biennially. By providing the corresponding documents and record of revision, Web Manuals and IATA are enabling the highest standard of aviation compliance.
