FlyCheck’s Best Practices for Mastering Compliance Monitoring in Aviation

Staying ahead in aviation demands meticulous attention to efficiency, regulatory adherence, and operational precision. For FlyCheck, a newly established aviation company specializing in ferry flights and aircraft acceptance, the challenge was clear from the outset: to build a streamlined, compliant documentation system from the ground up.

Founded in April 2024, FlyCheck wasted no time in structuring its manuals and regulatory processes, leveraging digital documentation to establish itself as an industry leader in compliance.

Building a Documentation System from Scratch

As a Part-NCC operator in France, FlyCheck operates uniquely—adding aircraft to its fleet for a single flight before returning them. This unconventional model required an equally adaptable and efficient documentation system. According to Flight Operations Engineer Adrien Commarmot, “We created the company from scratch, so we began working with new manuals and procedures in April. We were experienced in Web Manuals due to previous work, but for our company, we started from zero.”

Starting with the redaction of operating manuals, the team utilized Web Manuals’ PART-NCC templates, adapting them to suit their specialized operations. “It was a whole work of adaptation because we needed to be very specific in our activities, which are not common,” Adrien explained.

This adaptation ensured that their documentation aligned perfectly with aviation regulations, allowing for seamless compliance monitoring. By leveraging a structured, digital-first approach, FlyCheck established a foundation that would not only meet current aviation regulatory compliance standards but also adapt to future operational needs.

Accelerating Approval Through Smart Documentation

CEO Thomas Baudin highlighted the remarkable efficiency achieved through digital documentation and the Web Manuals system: “You launch a company in April and get the approval to fly in August—with nothing at the beginning. That’s incredibly efficient.” FlyCheck’s ability to quickly adapt and implement regulatory standards impressed the authorities, streamlining the revision process. “We were able to show very easily our rigor in documentation. The authorities are used to new companies having less strict applications, so our ability to rapidly update and demonstrate compliance was a game-changer,” Thomas added.

Beyond compliance, FlyCheck’s documentation approach also strengthens its business proposition. By utilizing Web Manuals, they not only ensure operational excellence but also position themselves to assist other operators in adopting digital documentation. “We wanted to show a state-of-the-art company to our customers, and Web Manuals allows us to do that. It’s a tool that enables us to demonstrate our commitment to efficiency and compliance,” said Thomas.

Efficiency, Compliance, and Future-Ready Operations

FlyCheck’s early adoption of Web Manuals’ compliance libraries and automated revision tracking has already proven invaluable. “Keeping everything up to date is our main challenge,” Adrien noted. “Web Manuals’ content mirroring and control links between documents help us avoid outdated information and maintain consistency across manuals.” This has been especially crucial given FlyCheck’s growing repository of aircraft manuals, ensuring accuracy and accessibility at all times.

This forward-thinking approach extends to their commitment to information security compliance. “We want to implement Part-IS quickly because we are brand new. We don’t have legacy systems, so now is the perfect time to establish best practices,” Thomas emphasized.

By proactively aligning with regulatory expectations, FlyCheck is setting the foundation for long-term scalability. Additionally, their structured documentation approach supports airline compliance by ensuring that all safety-critical information is accessible and up-to-date for pilots and operations staff.

Digital Documentation: A Necessity, Not an Option

For aviation professionals still hesitant about transitioning to digital documentation, FlyCheck’s experience provides compelling insights. “In our operations, digital documentation is a requirement. We operate globally without a fixed headquarters for pilots to check manuals in person. And it’s really easier, because when you have to push an update it’s done in one click, and we don’t have to print a lot more pages and check that everything is up to date. For us, we couldn’t operate without digital documentation,” Adrien stated.

With an ambitious growth plan that includes 30-50 ferry flights in 2025 and expanded training activities, FlyCheck is committed to maintaining its high documentation standards with Web Manuals. Their experience proves that digitalization is not just about efficiency—it’s about ensuring safety, compliance, and a seamless operation from day one.

For new and established operators alike, FlyCheck’s journey underscores a crucial lesson: investing in digital documentation from the outset is a strategic move that pays dividends in regulatory approval, operational efficiency, and long-term success.

As FlyCheck continues to expand, so does its collaboration with Web Manuals. With plans to further optimize the compliance and documentation processes, this partnership will ensure FlyCheck remains at the forefront of aviation excellence.
