Martin Lidgard and Richard Sandström, the visionary founders behind Web Manuals, have been awarded Silver in the prestigious Founder of the Year award category for Medium Size Companies. This incredible honor was presented at the Founders Awards Gala held at the historic Nalen in Stockholm on September 19.
Over A Decade of Innovation and Growth
Founded in 2012, Web Manuals began with a simple yet impactful vision: to improve aviation safety and efficiency through a streamlined documentation platform. Over the years, Martin and Richard’s leadership and relentless drive have turned this vision into a global success. Today, with teams based in Malmö (Sweden), San Diego, New York, Singapore, and Sydney , Web Manuals is proud to be growing at an impressive 40% per year.
Our growth isn’t just about numbers; it’s about the value we bring to the aviation industry. Through our digital documentation tool, we help aviation professionals manage their manuals, improve compliance, and enhance safety—ultimately contributing to a safer and more efficient global aviation network.
Silver Award is Remarkable
The Founder of the Year award isn’t just about celebrating business success. It’s about recognizing founders who have built strong, sustainable companies that positively impact society. The award is divided into three categories—small, medium, and large companies—based on factors like company size and revenue. For the Medium Size Companies category, the award focuses on founders with a revenue of 10-50 million euros, who still hold at least 20% ownership in their company, and who have shown not just profitability but long-term vision and innovation.
Being named a finalist and receiving the Silver Award is a testament to the passion, commitment, and strategic vision that Martin and Richard have shown over the past decade.
What Set Web Manuals Apart?
As with all finalists, Martin and Richard were assessed based on a rigorous Founders Alliance Index. This evaluation considered their past performance, future potential, and the social benefits of their work. The final decision came from a panel of seasoned founders and industry leaders, including Lilia Yeghiazaryan (Founder of Dexatel), Malin Lindfors Speace (Founder of Ethos), and Stefan Granqvist (Founder of Interim Search), among others.
A Bright Future Ahead
This award isn’t just a recognition of where we’ve been—it’s also a reflection of where we’re going. As Web Manuals continues to grow, we remain committed to enhancing aviation safety and efficiency. The recognition from the Founders Alliance serves as a powerful motivator as we look to the future, always striving to push boundaries and deliver greater value to our clients.
We couldn’t have achieved this without the unwavering support of our team, clients, and partners. Here’s to many more years of innovation, growth, and making aviation safer for all.
