We are revolutionizing the way aviation businesses handle large, complex Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) PDF files with the launch of our OEM PDF Reader, designed to increase productivity and enhance document usability.

Users of Embraer, Boeing or general OEM PDF manuals can now seamlessly upload multiple files at once, combining hundreds of pages and PDF files into a single document for quick review. Web Manuals will automatically file important details such as document name, short code, and revision information, while keeping the modular structure and ensuring simple, user-intuitive navigation.

Document editors can easily highlight changes and connect a ‘Revision Bar’ to them to clearly display updates, while reviewers can swiftly navigate amendments to ensure they are efficiently tracked and implemented.

Designed in the familiar layout and with the same functionalities as other file types, operators can feel assured that all OEM PDF documentation complies with regulations and quality standards, while minimizing the risk of human error.

Richard Sandström, chief technology officer at Web Manuals says: “Having a unified OEM PDF document management system allows users to access a broader range of files via Web Manuals, streamlining workflows and boosting operational efficiency. Consolidating extensive OEM PDF documentation into one digital platform and simplifying navigation will be key to empowering our customers to manage OEM PDF documentation more effectively.”

What are the key functionalities of the OEM PDF Reader?

  • Seamless File Uploads: The OEM PDF Reader allows users to upload multiple files at once, integrating them into one document while maintaining the modular structure of OEM documentation. This capability leads to faster document management and consistent navigation, enabling users to focus on critical tasks rather than searching for information.
  • Unified OEM Document Management: It supports Embraer, Boeing and general OEM documents, automatically populating crucial details such as document name, short code, and revision information when available.
  • User-Friendly Interface: The OEM PDF Reader features a Files Tab for a quick overview of all subfiles and a Table of Contents Tab that allows users to expand files down to the heading level. This intuitive design makes it easy to navigate thousands of pages of OEM documentation, saving valuable time and enhancing usability.
  • Efficient Change Tracking: Marking and tracking changes in extensive OEM documents has never been easier. Editors can highlight changes at the page level and add a Revision Bar to clearly display updates. Reviewers can swiftly navigate through these changes, ensuring that all updates are efficiently tracked, reviewed, and implemented.
  • Selective File Replacement: Replace individual files within an OEM document without re-uploading the entire document. File statuses can be updated with color-coded icons for quick identification.
  • Attach Supplementary Files: Use the Attach Notice feature to add additional files to the main OEM document, which is easily accessible via a yellow banner.
  • Temporary Revisions: Publish urgent updates with Temporary Revisions, allowing critical information to be shared before the next formal revision.
