Bristow Group is a global leader in vertical flight, operating more than 200 aircraft supported by over 3,000 employees. With over six decades of experience, the company provides safe and reliable helicopter transportation for energy customers, alongside search and rescue and aviation support services for government and civil organizations. Bristow currently operates in Brazil, Curacao, the Falkland Islands, Ireland, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Norway, Suriname, Trinidad, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
A Global Operation, Ready to Scale
Prior to establishing its Global Standards team, each of Bristow’s regions managed documentation independently. Manuals were stored and published across a mix of platforms and created using multiple software systems. Managing documentation across that many systems and regions was a time consuming and difficult process, and as the business grew, the opportunity to bring everything into one place became a clear challenge.
Bristow initially began centralizing its documentation through a third party platform. When that platform announced it would be sunsetting in 2023, the team needed a dependable, cloud based solution capable of supporting the scale and complexity of its worldwide operations long term.
One Platform. Eleven Countries. One Standard.
Since implementing Web Manuals, Bristow’s documentation processes have become significantly more structured, efficient, and accessible. The team has standardized revision control, improved collaboration across regions, and maintained consistent regulatory compliance across all operations, including alignment with multiple regulatory authorities.
Web Manuals has provided a scalable and reliable solution that supports operational consistency, regulatory compliance, and our continued global growth.

Document Controller
With crews operating in remote and rural locations across eleven countries, reliable access to accurate, up-to-date documentation is critical. Web Manuals has made that possible, ensuring teams always have what they need, wherever they are.
Streamlining the Publish Process
Much of Bristow’s current efficiency gains are coming from consolidation. By bringing documentation from other platforms into Web Manuals, the team is reducing the number of systems involved in the publishing workflow and actively phasing out redundant tools.
Reducing these steps is helping improve our overall workflow and allowing us to begin phasing out other platforms.

The transition is still underway, and as Bristow continues to explore more of Web Manuals’ editorial features, the team expects further gains in efficiency and cross regional collaboration.
A Foundation for What Comes Next
Web Manuals has given Bristow the visibility and control needed to operate consistently at a global scale. With a centralized, cloud based platform now at the core of its documentation process, the Global Standards team has a reliable foundation to support continued growth, and the confidence that every team member, wherever they are in the world, is working from the same source of truth.
