S.T.A.R.S., otherwise known as Standards & Training for Aviation Responsibility and Sustainability, is an initiative set in motion by young business aviation professionals.
Their goal is to develop and introduce industry-wide sustainability standards and an accompanying label. The program, supported by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), will focus on the social and environmental issues addressed in the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
STARS will be included as an add-on to IS-BAO and IS-BAH, as well as a standalone certificate for other organizations that work with the business aviation industry.
Web Manuals, as a company that always aims to contribute to the development and progress of technology, innovation, and sustainability in the world, has been part of this project since its beginning. Our colleague Angel Nikolov, who is the Chair of the Partnerships Committee, is representing the company in the STARS project to support business aviation in getting more sustainable and responsible.
The work has kicked-off this September with the two working groups, Environmental and Social, that are laying the foundation of the standards.
On behalf of Angel, we would like to extend an invitation to you to join this initiative as experts and/or ambassadors. As an expert, you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the creation of the standards and as an ambassador, you can help us spread the word around the business aviation industry. Be part of this initiative that is of great value to the business aviation and beyond.
